Meet the team
This online educational resource (OER) was created by the people below as part of the curriculum for ETEC 522, a course in the MET program offered by the University of British Columbia. This site was first published in June of 2016.
Living on the beautiful east coast of Canada, I am a teacher that works as an Information Technology Facilitator for our Department of Education and Early Learning within the Province of Prince Edward Island, helping k-12 teachers understand and incorporate technology tools and strategies into their classroom teaching practices.

Gary Ma has been a mathematics teacher since 2013. He has a passion for finding new ways to incorporate technology in his teachings and is currently in the MEd program for the purposes of developing new skills and awareness with teaching technologies. He spends his spare time working out, and trying new types of cuisine.

Claudia is a Grade 6 teacher at a private elementary school located just west of Toronto. Claudia has always had a passion for experimenting with technology, and has led several initiatives for better integrating technology into student experience at her school. ETEC 532 is her 8th MET course.

Jesse works within the private IT field as a service manager, bridging the gap between sales and consulting to companies who outsource the entirety of their IT. Jesse’s background of developmental Psychology and enjoyment of technology led to his enrollment in the MET program. This is currently his 7th course.

Minji is working in onlife lifelong education, in areas of business development, learning design, delivery and analysis. She runs a blog about massive open online course and collaboration. (https://flyingchalk.wordpress.com/). She trots between Shanghai, Hong Kong and London.
